Shelter from the Storm 2008

Thanks to you, the Shelter from the Storm Breakfast, Volunteers of America's annual fundraising event, was a grand success.

More than 250 people attended the free event, which focused on the challenges facing Sacramento's growing senior population and how Volunteers of America is not only helping them, but all people in need.

"Need Knows No Age," Volunteers of America's 2008 documentary, was premiered at the breakfast, and features the stories of residents of Volunteers of America's affordable-housing program for seniors.
