Give the Gift of Warmth Nov. 3 through Dec. 12!

More than 3,000 homeless men and women will find refuge in one of Volunteers of America's homeless shelters this year.

"The Gift of Warmth" campaign helps remind those most in need that they are not forgotten, while providing essential personal items to help ward off the winter chill. (Click here for a general flier.)

Donations of new hats, gloves, scarves and socks, which are gifted to the homeless who frequent our emergency shelters, are now being accepted at the Volunteers of America administration office, 1900 Point West Way, Suite 270, Sacramento, Calif.
The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed Saturday and Sunday and major holidays).

Country Club Plaza, in collaboration with Entercom, is also hosting a collection site at the plaza's center court near Santa Claus (through Dec. 20). Country Club Plaza is located at the corner of Watt and El Camino avenues in Sacramento.

Hosting your own Gift of Warmth drive
You, too, can help men and women in need by holding your own drive this holiday season to collect much-needed hats, gloves, scarves and socks. To learn how you can organize and host your own Gift of Warmth drive at your workplace, school or house of worship, please click here to download our "how-to" information sheet and publicity flier.

Please deliver by Dec. 12!
Please deliver your group's donations by 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, to the Volunteers of America administration office.

For more information regarding the Gift of Warmth campaign, contact Kim Castaneda, Community Relations Manager, at kimc@voa-sac.org or 916.442.3691.

It isn't the size of the gift that matters, but the size of the heart that gives it.
