Shelter From the Storm Breakfast


Friday, November 2, 2012, more than 230 prominent Northern Nevadans gathered at Volunteers of America Northern Nevada's inaugural Shelter from the Storm fundraising breakfast.

Pat Cashell kicked off the morning by sharing his journey back from addiction and homelessness and the impact it left on his family.  Watch the video of his moving story below:


Leo McFarland, President and CEO of Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada shared his vision of ending homelessness by providing more than emergency shelter for families and individuals. Hear his vision below:

Then you would have heard the powerful story of a single mom, Stephanie, who one day found herself 8 months pregnant and homeless. To hear her amazing road to independence watch the video below.
