Homeless shelters

Breaking the cycle of homelessness isn't a quick fix. In an effort to reach out to those living on the streets, and reintroduce the concepts of caring, concern and hope, Volunteers of America operates emergency shelters for the chronically and temporary homeless in Sacramento, Calif., and Reno, Nev.
