Transitional Housing for Parenting Women

omen who complete the Volunteers of America Residential Treatment Program for Parenting Women are eligible for the transitional housing program. This six- to nine-month semi-independent living program further encourages their success through mandatory substance abuse counseling, vocational rehabilitation and continuing education.

The Transitional Housing Program for Parenting Women also facilitates the reunification of mothers with children 12 and younger.

An aftercare/reentry program component maintains case manager contact with clients for one year following their tenure in the transitional housing program.
