Volunteers of America Greater Sacramento & Northern Nevada is one of the region's largest providers of human services. Our 96-year-old mission of ministering to those in need has expanded from a simple chapel and a soup kitchen to include emergency, transitional and permanent supportive housing, assistance to youth, seniors, the mentally ill and the disabled, as well as a range of services for the homeless.
These services, offered through a variety of programs at several sites throughout the Sacramento area and Northern Nevada, include food, shelter, substance abuse treatment, independent-living skills training and job training and placement.
