Volunteers of America provides support to people with mental illness throughout our programs. Sometimes these individuals enter our services in nontraditional ways, such as through homelessness or substance abuse. However a person comes to us, Volunteers of America focuses on assisting those with significant and persistent mental illness to live lives of independence in their communities.

In keeping with the tradition of our founders and our faith-based values, we believe that all individuals should be treated with respect and dignity and receive the individualized support they need to live in their community.
